Dubrovnik active holiday will take you on an adventure through hills and valleys, islands and peninsulas to the glorious city of Dubrovnik. Each day in the itinerary offers a new location and interesting activity. You will have the opportunity to experience a true local life and see locations around Dubrovnik often overlooked by tourists.

Walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town is an inevitable part of visit which will give you a background of Dubrovnik history and some useful local tips for the upcoming days.

Cycling through the countryside of Konavle valley you will meet traditional customs and see old villages and breathtaking landscapes. This southernmost region of Croatia hides another gem – city of Cavtat, charming seaside town established by the Greeks in the 4th century BC.

Kayaking tour of Elaphiti archipelago will take you to two small islands with well preserved authentic ambience – Lopud and Šipan. You will visit fishing villages, enter the green cave, swim in crystal clear water and jump of the magnificent cliffs.

Pelješac peninsula north of Dubrovnik is the most famous wine region in Croatia and a place where you will try some of the best Croatian wine sorts in local family owned wineries. Besides wine tasting you will have the opportunity to walk the second largest wall in the world, the walls of Ston.

Itineraries

Day 1

Airport Pick Up and a Walking Tour of Dubrovnik Old Town

On the first day of our tour your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation.

Depending on your arrival time we will arrange a sightseeing tour of Dubrovnik Old Town to get you started on your Dubrovnik adventure.

Day 2

Visit to Cavtat and a Cycling Tour of Konavle Valley

Second day will start with pick up at your accommodation and a pleasant drive south towards the southernmost region of Croatia – Konavle Valley.

We will stop in a charming seaside city of Cavtat for a morning coffe and/or breakfast before we continue our way to the countryside.

Cycling tour will start near the village of Drvenik and along circular 25 km long route you will enjoy in the beautiful views of the valley passing by old stone houses, vineyards, farms and an old monastery. We will make a stop in the old river mill to experience traditional local life and taste some of the best domestic products.

On our way back to Dubrovnik we will have a short detour up the Srdj hill overlooking Dubrovnik Old Town and hopefully enjoy in one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

Day 3

Kayaking Tour Elaphiti Islands

Day three of our adventure is reserved for visit to some of the most beautiful islands in Croatia with best preserved local life and amazing natural features.

In the morning hours we will board a charming public ferry and have 1 hour scenic ride to Lopud Island. After a brief safety talk and instructions we will start kayaking towards Šipan island to see a natural stone arch and beautiful green cave and stop for swimming and cliff jumping.

We will have a traditional local seafood lunch in a fishing village on Šipan island and a hike up the highest peak of the island for a beutiful panoramic view of the archipelago.

In the early afternoon we will kayak back to Lopud for a walk and take a ferry back to Dubrovnik.

Day 4

Wine Tasting on Pelješac Peninsula and Walking the Walls of Ston

After pick up at your accommodation we will drive north towards the most famous wine region in Croatia – Pelješac peninsula.

Once we reach Mali Ston Bay you will see oyster farms spreading all over the bay. We will stop to taste fresh oysters directly from the sea while hearing interesting story of farming process from a local farmer.

Our second stop is the city of Ston to walk the second largest walls in the world – the 15th century walls of Stone and to visit ancient salt pan complex which has been producing salt till today.

Continuing our way along the peninsula we will pass through small traditional villages and see many vineyards and family owned wineries. We will stop for wine tasting in several authentic local wineries where you will hear a story of wine growing process and tradition of winemaking in Croatia.

On the way back to Dubrovnik it is possible to stop for a lunch in some of the best local restaurants serving traditional Croatian food.

Day 5

Departure Day

On the last day of our adventure your guide will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to the airport in time for your flight.

If you have a late flight it is possible to arrange some additional activities for the day.
